I am trying to resolve a problem with Outlook Express with regards to
accessing mail from the server in outlook express.

Authentication validation error with regards to the users name and/or
password.

I have entered username and password correctly and I am able to access the
internet with no problems, but when i attempt to get emails the above
problem occurs.

I have also had a problem trying to setup broad band from within windows, I
can't seem to get windows to connect to the ISP however the boardband device
can do it but is still show disconnected in the connections window. I
suspect that this may be the problem for the above.

any ideas would be helpful, The system is a frends computer and I would like
to resolve this ASAP

If Outlook Express..........

In any case:

Please post the error message in its entirety. You can Left click on it to
