does anyone know if there is still an option to save mail on server so that
it can be retreived by more than one computer/mail software?

Under Windows Mail, click on Tools, then Accounts, then your email account,
then Properties, then Advanced. If there's no check mark in the box before
Leave a copy of messages on the server, click on this box. It's also a good
idea to tell it to delete the messages after a while. Click on Apply, OK,
and
Close.

I made a separate post about doing this. found that when the 'leave messages
on server' and 'delete messages from server when deleted items folder is
emptied' (from memory, since I am not at the Vista machine now) boxes are
checked, the messages are not removed from the server when the deleted items
folder is emptied.
