Windows Mail, Hotmail, Outlook Express and confused frustration

I have multiple Hotmail accounts that I can currently check from Outlook
Express. As we all know, Windows Mail is the greatest thing ever invented,
so let's get that out of the way. But I don't need the greatest thing ever
invented. I need the old tool that worked just fine for me.

In my OE, I had 5 Hotmail accounts. I check email for myself and other
people and there are folders in there. I also check POP mail from other
services. I don't want to use Windows Live Mail, I don't like it and it
doesn't suit my needs. Everything was just fine in OE how it was.

I am guessing Windows Mail doesn't do this. I just want all of my accounts
back in the pane with their folders and to be able to drag-and-drop between
them, etc. I dislike how OE elimination has been foisted upon us in Vista.
Is there a way for me to move an older version of OE to Vista? Has someone
made a utility that allows Windows Mail to work PERFECTLY like it did in OE?

And if not, can someone please pass along to the higher-ups at Microsoft
that this is very disappointing if this is the case. I don't know what they
are trying to do with Windows Live, nor do I really care. The only thing I
care about is that something I could do can no longer be done because
Windows Mail doesn't ALLOW it and Windows Live doesn't do it - and I don't
want Windows Live to do it anyway.

We live in an imperfect world, an all our wishing often goes for naught.

I use a FREE program called Hot Pop to read my ONE hotmail account.
do not know if it will work for you in reading multiple accounts.
it will read the extra folders from hotmail.
here is the link if you want to check it out.

check for other poppers at: softpedia, tucows, snapfiles, fileforum, majorgeeks,
pricelessware(home), etc.

searching *multiple* names of certain function software will give you more names to
research
