Windows Mail forgetting email account settings

In Tools/Accounts/Servers etc. everything is as it should be but I keep
getting a pop-up asking me to log in to each of my 9 accounts.
This just started this morning. I got it working once by deleting all the
accounts and redoing them. This time it isn't working.
The account settings are all correct yet it refuses to connect with there
server.
Here's one error:
Account: 'Ex_Brit', Server: 'mail.spamcop.net', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR Login failed.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error:
0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

That problem will probably come back.
It is usually caused by an incompatible antivirus program.
