Windows Mail for Vista

I have a new computer. Downloaded and installed Windows Vista. Every time I
turn on my computer and open Windows Mail it downloads as new email all 5340
emails saved on my server. How do I prevent this so that I only get new
recent email downloaded.

are you sure its downloading all the maills every time? ido you have a
different pc you also use to check mail?
