Windows Mail Export...

When using the Windows Mail Export feature, where is the export file stored
so I can find it to import to another mail program?

The export feature saves messages only.
If you want to back up all aspects of Windows Mail, including
account settings, rules, etc. use this free third party utility:

It does not transfer contacts, but you can easily copy and paste
the folder C:\Users\username\Contacts.
