Windows Mail Connection

I have just converted to Vista and trying to go wireless and succeeded via an
unsecured network to do this however I cannot get mail because I believe my
connection settings are wrong. I have gone into Accounts and thenmy e-mail
account then properties and the connections but Vista freezes everytime. Is
there a work around. Have tried when connected and when not but no joy. Can
only move on if I use task manager and close the program.

Please help.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the answer. Seems there is something corrupt in the program file
not my antivirus which came preinstalled.

I have added a new address same properties and same connection however this
time I was able to enter the connection tab and ensure the settings were
right. Hey Presto I get e-mail.

I then deleted the original e-mail address settings and realised Microsoft
has lost me hours of my life never to be regained.

May thanks.

Glad you got it fixed, but it was probably your AV program
which corrupted the original email account.
