windows mail - cannot retrieve an email

hi i can recieve emails, but i also get the following message,

Message number 1 could not be retrieved. Account: 'mail.btinternet.com',
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR problem
retrieving message.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90,
Error Number: 0x800420CD

how do i resolve this?

Looks like you have a message that can't be downloaded, but was able to get
past it and download the rest. You may need to log on using webmail, look
for a message you haven't been able to download, and delete it.

timbop's problem is the same as mine and his error # is the same as shown on
my screen (my server is pop.att.yahoo.com and the server error is
0x800CCC90). Your answer is to log on using webmail. I don't know what that
is. Please clarify.
I am Peter Barna, the problem occurs on my wife's Windows E-mail, pls reply
to (e-mail address removed) or peterbarna@hotmail@com. Thank you

Webmail means using a browser like Internet Explorer to access
your email on the server.
In your browser go to http://mail.yahoo.com and login with your AT&T
credentials.

If your problem is not resolved, write back, but include a complete copy
of your error message by right-clicking on it, copy, then paste it into
a reply here.
