I get the following error when I try to send/retrieve email:

Account: 'Mauldin4', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC15

Can anyone help?

And where is the rest of the error message. That is only 1\2 of it. Kindly post it
in whole

Post your error in whole and next time do not hijack someone else's thread but start
your own. Need to see your complete error message since it could be different in
many ways then the other poster. Subtle differences can signify other issues then
saying "I got the same"

This is the context of the whole error message.

" Account: 'Mauldin4', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC15"

That type of problem can be caused by interference from a non-
compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

If no improvement after disabling email scanning, consider upgrading
to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects
from overly intrusive antivirus programs:
