Recently had to reinstall parts of Vista Premium, (under guidance fromMVP at
Medion). I found that attachmentd with ext's PPS,PPT,PPSX, and PPTX will not
open in Windows Mail as they did before. However if I transfer the
attachment to Desktop, they open immediately. Have PowerPoint Viewer, Word
Viewer and XL Viewer installed. Following advice went to Control Panel,
Default Programs and then File Associations. Against these ext's it shows
"Unknown Application". When I use the "Change" button, and type in
PowerPoint Viewer, a window comes up as follows:-
Usage:
/extract:path,extracts the content of the packageto the path folder.
/quiet,runs thepackage in silent mode.
/?, shows this help message.
Get this message in the Desktop and then attachments will not open there!,
so used System Restore to get back again. I do not understand the message.
Can anyone out there help?
