Windows mail and Gmail pop3

I can not login to my account. THe login just keeps comming up and I get
this message:

Account: 'george3slist', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.', Port: 995,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I have cleared the captcha and that did not work. Can anyone help me?

Did it ever work?

Set up your gmail account according to the settings provided by them,
especially the port numbers!!
The links describe setup for Outlook Express, Windows mail & Live Mail setup
is exactly the same.
Check your settings as per:

I too have George's problem.My isp is wildblue satellite,they have recently partnered with google and I have not been able to configure my windows mail account successfully despite trying every possible permutation of their very confusing instructions.I have got to the point where my inbox is showing "authorizing" then it asks for my password.I have tried all the passwords I can think of but the window just keeps coming back.Wild blue are impossible to contact so obviously I'm not the only one with this problem.If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.>
