Windows mail and AOL

I cant get mail to work. I followed only instructions i could find to set up
account (outlook 6) to aol. But it wont send or recieve.
Error mess
Header download for the 'Inbox' folder did not complete. Could not select
'Inbox' on the IMAP server. You might try refreshing your folder list to
synchronize with the IMAP server. Account: 'imap.aol.com', Server:
'imap.uk.aol.com', Protocol: IMAP, Server Response: 'The server did not
respond to this IMAP command before the connection was terminated.', Port:
143, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Am i using wrong settings, if so can someone point me in right direction to
find correct settings.

How do I point my IMAP e-mail server to the location where my IMAP mailbox
is stored?

Most e-mail servers handle this automatically, but some servers might
require that you point them to the location where your mailbox is stored
(sometimes referred to as "setting the path").
To set the IMAP mailbox path
1. Open Windows Mail by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs,
and then clicking Windows Mail.
2. Click the Tools menu, and then click Accounts.
3. Select your IMAP server from the list of accounts.
4. Click Properties, and then click the IMAP tab.
5. In the Root folder path box, type the path to your mailbox. Do not end
this path with a slash (/) or it won't work. (For example, a root folder
path in the form of ~username/Mail is valid, but ~username/Mail/ is not.)

To specify what you want to download
You can make all messages, only headers, or only new messages available for
offline viewing by changing the synchronization settings for IMAP, HTTP, or
news server folders.
From the Folders list, select an IMAP server, an HTTP server, or a news
server.
In the main window, select one or more folders or newsgroups.
Click Settings, and then click to change the setting to one of the
following:
All Messages
New Messages Only
Headers Only

Thanks, but still wont work.
I have tried a number of mail programes to work on my PC and they all worked
before i upgraded to Vistsa, and they all wont get mail, I also tried them on
my laptop (win xp) and they work fine. So it must be a Vista problem.
Maybe I should wait for a vista fix
