Windows Macro recorder

I was reminded that Windows 3.1 had a macro recorder for automating
repetetive keystrokes/mouse clicks. Can a version be downloaded for XP?

Hello,

I don't think XP has it anymore. Maybe by using Windows Script Host
(http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/9bbdkx3k.aspx) but it involves
code writing and not macro recording.

Hmm,

You will need something to run the macros

Macros are actually Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code & is in the
background of MS Office Applications.

With Visual Studio .NET you can create macros too

However, Autoit does not seem to incorporate a macro recorder. It seems to
be a variation of Windows Script Host.
