Windows Logon Hangs for long time

HI,
When press alt+ctl+del and enter my login id and
password for the domain it hangs there for more than 2-3
mins and then logs my personal settings. Is there any way
to reduce that logon time. This is with respect to a
particular laptop, as if the same user logs onto the
another machine of the same domain it takes less than a
minute to login the same domain. Please let me know if
you have any solution to it.

The profile for the user is probably set to ROAMING and
hence, is on a server on the Network. These profiles can
get HUGE if you store things like Web Cache and e-mails.

Basically, set the profile not to be roaming (set it to
be local instead) and try again. If login is fast, read
up on the subject to decide what you want to be available
in the profile from any workstation on the network.
