Windows log me out as soon as I login

Hi,

I am not able to login anymore, not even in safe mode. As soon as I login,
I see my wallpaper and then windows log me out. I have tried the safe mode
with the command prompt but same thing. If I boot with the CD and do repair
mode I can login. I tried to execute the restore command from the repair
mode but doesn't seem to be supported.

Before that I did an uninstall of the Computer Associates firewall to
install a new edition of Zonealarm free edition. At the end I had to reboot
and that's it, no more login...

Is there a way to do a restore command if I boot from the CD?

If not, is my only solution is to reinstall Windows?

I have Windows XP SP2, intel P4, 512 MB...

If you have any idea, thanks in advance.

Run from a boot to CD and Recovery Console (press 'r' for Repair), the
command:

(cd drive letter here):/i386/expand.exe (cd drive letter
here):/i386/winlogon.ex_ %windir%/system32/winlogon.exe
