Windows live One Care

Has anybody used this program amd does ik perform OK? At the moment I am
using a Norton FW, AVG antivirus and AVG anti-spyware. These programs work
OK, but appear to slow down the PC during start up. I have tested the start
up with and without these programs and there is a considerable difference.

I've used Windows Live One Care and found it okay. The part i don't like is
ahving to uninstall the original anti virus and then go online to download
One Care. If you have dial up you are vulnerable for quite a time while One
care downloads.

The slow down on your pc is probably due to Norton. Personally I don't like
Norton software and wouldn't use it. My choice would be to stick with AVG
(free) http://free.grisoft.com and then install the free version of Zone
Alarm as firewall. You ccan also use Windows defender for spyware.

Most of what One Care does you can get free anyway from other sources - anti
virus, firewall, spyware, defragmentation etc.

Just another opinion,

We have been using Windows live one care for 6 months now with no problems.
You can download One care without deleting any other antivirus programs and
can delete them after One care is loaded.

One care comes with Windows Defender anti spy ware program as well.
One care now has a two way fire wall so you will be protected both ways in
your mail programs.

The choice is yours,
Jerry

LOL,,,would you trust the security of your computer and your data to
Microsoft?

Anyone who would use Live One Care deserves what heartache they get!

Going from Norton (whatever FW is, I have never heard of it) to Live One
Care is a HUGE step backwards.

If you by now not already have discovered this yourself, FW stands for
firewall. Personaaly I have NO problem trusting the security of my computer
to MS (MS means Microsoft). They constantly have provided patches and
updates for all of their operating sysyems, designed to make my and YOUR
computer a hell of a lot safer and better.
