windows live messenger

hey ppl

my msn keeps saying " signing in to windows live messenger failed because
the service is temporaily unavailable, please try again later

error code: 80070005

this always comes up when i try to log on n i have try uninstalling and
installing it like 3 times can anyone help please
i am thnxfull for any info i get

I too am having exactly the same issues. I have also tried to uninstall and
reinstall.

Now where is the ROFL emoticon whwen you need it? I have done that already,
but was hoping for a more helpful response than that link gives. No offense

Not sure what your point is, but this newsgroup doesn't
deal with MSN/Messenger issues.

Unfortunately that didn't work. I don't know if this is significant. However
when I look in tools - options - connections, it says I am not connected to
..Net Messenger Service. Is this significant, and if so how do I get round it?

Shawn, creating another user account on the pc worked. So I need to check
what's changed in my user settings
