Windows Live Messenger Processor Consumption

Version 2008 (Build 8.5.1302.1018)

The more chat windows you open the higher % of cpu cycles Live takes up. I
have a dual core and with three default size windows open, MSN takes up
nearly 50% of my processor. If I increase the window sizes, it takes up even
more. The previous verision did not do this.

And even if you close MSN it is still running, yet still consuming 50% of
processor time (one whole processor) and you cannot even kill it with task
manager !???!?

There must be something else rotting! When I have WLM running on my XP
SP2 Intel single 2.66 Ghz processor it takes only 1% to 2%. Total
processes running in the background 55.
