windows Live Hotmail

I've upgraded to above. When I am trying to attach a photo, IE complains.
(Information line pops up) Refuses to run an ActiveX control to the effect
that I can't upload the photos. Is there a way around this problem. Should I
alter my security options?

Thanx, but your kind suggestion won't work because the windows live hotmail
url is not a "https" site and so can't be added to the trusted sites.

I am in a quandary.

You can disable server verification on the same tab, removing the
requirement for sites to be "https".

Your original problem seems to be in your ActiveX settings. The first time
you want to send a picture you are prompted to install an ActiveX control to
upload pictures. IE's default settings don't block it from running. Unless
you declined to install the control, the next time you try to attach a
picture IE goes directly to the pictures folder. If you did install the
ActiveX control check in IE Tools, Manage Add-ons that it isn't disabled,
also any 3rd party software that could be set to block ActiveX applets from
running.
