Windows key shortcuts don't work

my windows key shortcuts are not working (such as windows+e or windows+m or
windows+r). now you might be thinking that it might be a problem with the key
itself. but here's the weird part, if i hit the key by itself it opens the
start menu as it should.

I really would like to be abler to use these shortcuts again.

help is GREATLY appreciated.

thx in advance

Hmm...

Curious... Try this?

Enable/Disable Windows Logo Keys in Windows XP:

I can't say that it IS what is the problem is or not but it's worth
checking. Usually when you see those symptoms it is a low level hook that's
disabled it, often malicious in nature. e.g. rootkit, older complicated
viruses, or perhaps some of today's foistware/malware might.

Malware Cleaners and Repair:

Why would they do that? Ah so you can't press WinKey + R and run something
to stop 'em. Task manager is often disabled for the same reason.

A little guess. Maybe "Accessibility" features are stoping you to use Windows
Key with key combination. You can check it out through Control Panel -
Accessibility. Check if any, Sticky Key or Filter Key is enabled. Disable it.
Also check out the Serial Key under General tab of "Accessibility"

Later, I will do some "Google" on the same to find an appropriate solution.

Hope this one help, let us know.

The same problem is being solved using Key Mapping program (post from some
other forums):

"After lots of tries, tried two mapping programs and they didn't work. I
used a little utility from http://www.dougknox.com/ under XP utilities
"Disable/Enable Windows Logo Keys". I disabled the keys at first (already
disabled but wanted it to do the action first), restarted then enabled them,
another restart. And tada! I can use my Win-keys again, solved!"

Hope this help, let us know!
