How so?

The post is on topic, about Vista, and something everyone who was stupid
enough to buy Vista should know.

If you want to know who the trolls really are, do search for "sheep fukker".

From the article:

"Last month, Forrester said that by the end of 2007 only 6.3% of 50,000
enterprise computer users it surveyed were working with Vista."

Part of that 6.3% is Frank's "business". LOL!

I hate to say it but I think this post is not that far off. In my company
we have been evaluating Vista at the enterprise level and have decided to
stick with XP. A few of our developers are using Vista, but only at home.
Vista is not used on the desktop at work. With all the problems that Vista
poses and the support issues to the "client", we are staying away. Over
the last few weeks we have been testing Vista and although it seem stable
for some, for others there are just too many problems. We have just begun
testing with SP1 and although Vista has shown improvement, it's not been
enough to migrate our business to it.

I have XP and Vista at home on two seperate machines. Most of my
development is done on XP and I do testing on Vista. So far Vista just
doesn't cut the mustard right now. I do enjoy using Vista, but at this
point will not do any serious development on that platform.

I like Vista but I don't love Vista.

My employer just refuses to buy Vista machines. They have twenty odd XP
machines which all work fine - why would anybody want to start mixing an
unknown OS on the network which will just cause user confustion for no
benefit.

Just what are the benefits of Vista for the business user? I just don't
think there are any at all for the vast majority of businesses.

I agree with one suggestion that the only way to save Vista and Microsoft
reputation is to offer all Vista users a free upgrade to Vista Ultimate (and
make that the only version so their developers can concentrate on fixing
just one version) or else a free upgrade to XP.

Right now there are no benefits for the Vista user, unless you are
developing software and HAVE to test for the Vista environment.

Microsoft's reputation went out the proverbial Windows when they
instituted WPA and WGA and assumed ALL of their customers are pirates
until they prove differently over and over and over and over again.

A lie. All my software is bought and paid for except that software
that's free. I have never had to use phone activation or has WPA/WGA
ever accused me of piracy. That said, what MS does is insulting and
assumes guilt until proven otherwise. Catching pirates is NOT
Microsoft's job and it most certainly isn't the job of the paying
public. The fact that when MS says bend over, you bend over as far as
you can is another topic I don't think you want to get into.

then why have you busted our balls for so long whenever we insult da vista

You don't really read the posts do you? You are just a hot head. I don't
insult people who have complaints about Vista, I insult retards like
yourself who make an ass of themselves.
You come across as number one vista fanboy.. if you have doubts about
vista put a sock in it, sit down, and watch us bash the heck of the
crapista

Go ahead and bash Vista but when you make idiotic statements then you are an
idiot and will be treated as such.

is it perhaps that you cannot understand most of what I post and to you
they seem idiotic?

This is likely the case, but if you don't understand something I can
explain it to you. When I say something it comes from deep understanding
of technology, even though the style may seem superficial, this is a
newsgroup and I'm not writing a book.

If however you need further clarification I can provide it . I have never
been wrong when it comes to technology.

Well now, considering your new name is "Be Yond" which has only 2 days of
history, I haven't guess what your name was prior to changing it to "Be
Yond". It isn't a priority to me to figure out which clown you really are.

Oh you have never been wrong when it comes to technology. You are really
full of yourself. Just another Vista basher. An idiot who changed his name
because he probably got insulted too many times. Got you pegged now.

OK, who the f*#k are you? And what have you done with our Billy?!

;-)

Seriously, thanks Bill for expressing your opinion. Expressing your
valid criticism here is more helpful to Microsoft, than the last hundred
threads you've replied to.

Personally, I think, like Iraq, Vista is a lost cause, and nothing can
really be done to fix it. I know you don't agree with that, as you
stated that you like Vista, so I suspect you hold out hope that it is
redeemable.

If Windows 7 is less than a couple of years away, then NOW is the time to
express our disappointments, frustrations & annoyances about Vista, so MS
doesn't make the same mistakes as with Vista.

No one wants to hear in 2010 that MS is starting Windows 7 development
from scratch, like we did in 2004 about Longhorn dev.

Frank. OSs are complex enough just doing the things that End Users want
them to do, why add another layer of complexity, that is totally useless
in making that OS function properly for End Users?

The Anti-Piracy fight should be banished from the code, and shifted back
to MS's Marketing & Legal departments.
