Windows Internet Connection Sharing

Someone can help me understanding a strange behaviour of windows
internet connection sharing. When I connect to Internet with a client
pc I can read only pages that start with http://www. ... while using
the "server" (the pc that shares the connection) I have no problem.

Thank to anyone who'll answer.
Bye

Is one pc using firefox and one using ie? some sites don't have two
A-records allowing both methods to work, however some browsers know
this and if the page is not found will add or remove the www prefix
and try it again. check if the browsers are the same version too.

The fact is that I have this problem using both Firefox and Ie6. It's
also strange that I can tracert www.google.it but not www.microsoft.it.

I've installed a "spare" windows xp and the problem does not exist.
