After using system restore, my Roxio Easy Media Creator 7
did not function properly. Using add/remove programs, I
tried to re-install the program. Windows installshield
starts then I receive this message: Windows Installer
This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the
patch exists and that you can access it, or contact the
application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows
installer patch package. The first time I installed the
software I did not have this problem. Can this be
corrected in Windows XP or is this a Roxio software
problem?

Go to Start/Run and type in:
msiexec /unregister [click ok]

Then Start/Run and type in:
msiexec /regserver [click ok]
