I am using Office 2003, my problem is with Outlook 2003. I constantly get a
Windows Installer window that pops up. If I click on a link in an email, or
right click on an address to look at properties or try to send a document as
an attachment rto an email, I get this damn Windows Installer pop up. Can
anyone help as it is driving me crazy. I'm about to dump Outlook and go to a
different program. H E L P!

Well I can't tell actually. It goes through preparing to install and after 5
or so minutes the pop up leave, and the function I initiated that caused the
pop up to appear is completed. But if I do the same command again ( say
attaching a word document as a review to an email) the Windows Installer pop
up appears again and it goes through the same process. At first I thought
each time I tried a "new" command I had to go through this process, but
instead it is EVERYTIME I try any command. I just converted from Office XP a
couple of months ago, where I never received the Windows Installer pop up. Is
there something in the setup causing this? I have run the microsoft kb290301
several times. Thanks

Are you using both Word 2003 and Outlook 2003? Any other versions of Word
installed?

Yes, both are 2003. Am running Office 2003. No other versions of Microsoft
Word.

Do you use any other email clients?

email account.
