windows installer window opens

Whenever i open a microsoft program the windows installer window pops up.
This started when i upgraded to office 2007 and tried to uninstall office
2003. I still can't uninstall office 2003. I have already upgraded to the
new version of installer.

Running the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility is likely to do more harm
than help.

Try re-installing Office 2003, then uninstalling it (assuming that you
have the original Office 2003 install CD).

Windows Installer CleanUp Utility is a pretty drastic clean-out tool.
It's definitely *not* recommended for use with Office 2007. See the
"Warning" here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us

As far as other applications are concerned, YMMV, although from what I
understand, it shouldn't be used with any product that uses multiple MSIs.
