Windows Installer Problem

We had on the computer a program MediaFace 4.01 which I tried to uninstall
with both add and remove in the control panel and with MediaFaces own
uninstaller. I have gotten it out of the registry, and have deleted under
search in windows xp all of its alleged files. However when running other
programs Windows installer keeps appearing and then MediaFace 4.01 comes up
in a futile attempt to install. I ca not locate the files or registry
entries for Windows Xp Home installer to get this blasted program out of the
computer totally. I can only figure its remnant is somewhere in the Windows
Installer. What do I do short of reformatting and reinstalling all my
programs?
