windows installer opens up when mail comes in

Every time i recieve a message, the windows installer box pops up, and
disrupts what i am doing. For example, if i am using word and it pops up,
then all the letters i typed do not show up. Tried udate and repair, to no
avail. thinking about installing SP3 to see if that helps. Suggestions?
 
Let the Installer finish whatever it's trying to repair. Don't cancel the
dialog.
