Windows Installer launches when receiving emails in Outlook

I recently installed a number of updates via Windows Update (a number of
Office Security updates and a Windows XP update). Since then, every time I
receive an email using Outlook, Windows Installer launches and it says
"Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2003 Standard
Edition". This is REALLY annoying, as it occurs with each and every email
being received!
Any suggestions as to how to rectify this situation greatly appreciated.
Can't find anything in the KB.

No I haven't. Where do I find it?

If you go into Add/Remove programs and locate the version of outlook you are
using and hit the change button. It will promp you through the steps to
repair.

Further to my original post:

I have jumped through hoops trying to resolve this problem. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled Office countless times. I then selectively
uninstalled the updates that had been installed prior to developing this
problem.

I thought I had the problem solved once the Windows Update KB900930 was
removed (an update concerning Outlook Express functionality), but the problem
has reappeared, in conjunction with some automatic updates that were pushed.

If anybody has heard of this problem and can offer a solution, I would be
eternally grateful.
