I have WindowsXP Home Ed. I use a web-mail service. The
web-mail software is from VircoM. When I look at a
message and wish to "reply", after clicking the reply
option "Windows Installer" launches and wants to install
Office 2000 SP1. Help please.

Sounds like your webmail service provider may be using Exchange 2003.
Why not just allow the Windows Installer to do it's job?

Put in your original CD when it asks for it and let it roll.
