Windows ******* install

Hi
Just got and built a new system:
Asus A8N Premium
AMD 4000+
Geforce 7800
1Gig Corsair 3200 ram
200 Gb Seagate SATA Drive

Have done everything by the book
-used seagate DiskWizard to sort HDD - fine
-started installing windows XP Pro get to screen "copying temp files to your system" it then will copy some
then will just display the "copy temp files ...etc.." but nothing is happening

Tried using the ASUS mobo CD to make AMD64 SATA driver disk but one of the files keeps coming back corrupt after the F6 button option on XP install.

Please Please Help this has never happened before with the same XP install disk

Make another SATA driver disk, your floppy disk may be knackered or the file transfer on the disk may be corrupt.

Does XP recognise the SATA disk during install?

Strictly speaking, you shouldn't need a driver disk to install XP unless the hard drive is attached to a RAID controller.

In which case, make a floppy disk with RAID controller drivers from motherboard CD.
