Windows Hotfix install problem.

I have tried several times, over months, to install KB896344 but each
time I get a Setup Error "Failed to migrate dependent packages".

I have tried via the update site and by downloading and installing
separately (this latter method worked fine for the latest problem with
KB913446).

Advice appreciated.

I have installed KB913446 manually with no problem but KB896344 still
remains a problem - it downloads okay but refuses to install.

Bert,

I have found a fix on the TechArena forum. Just a matter of renaming
xpsp3res.dll in the system32 folder to xpsp3res.dll.bak and the hotfix
installs OK and adds a new xpsp3res.dll to the system folder.
