When I run tuneup utilities 2007 and fix registry problems it keeps telling
me I have invalid entries in one or two folders on my D: drive usually in
documents and setting.
D: drive is a second partition on my hard drive. None of the files exist on
my hard drive now.
Does anyone know why it would keep telling me about invalid entries and not
repair them as it says it will?
I can't find anything in the registry about the files, but they always pop
up when I run tuneup registry cleaner!

Any ideas would be welcome!

you need to check with the support groups for that registry cleaner.
Definitions on what needs cleaning vary widely.

I recommend you not use a registry cleaner. Unless you are knowledgeable in
the registry, and only use it to give suggestions, then research those
suggestions and manually make the changes based on a need to resolve a
specific problem you are experiencing, don't use it. Removing the wrong
registry entry can create significant problems, but using a cleaner gives
you very little if any benefit. Get rid of it.

I strongly recommend *against* the routine use of registry cleaners. Routine
cleaning of the registry isn't needed and is dangerous. Leave the registry
alone and don't use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think,
and what vendors of registry cleaning software try to convince you of,
having unused registry entries doesn't really hurt you.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner erroneously
removing an entry you need is far greater than any potential benefit it may
have.
