Windows has recovered from a serious error!

3 times over the past 3 days, Windows has rebooted itself w/o prompting.
Each time I was doing something different. After rebooting, I get an error
message that says Windows has recovered from a serious error and a log has
been created. The last log read as follows:

C\Documents & Settings\Andrea\Local\Temp\Werlc62.dir00\mini0414-07.dmp
C\Documents & Settings\Andrea\Local\Temp\Werlc62.dir00\sysdata.xml

Does anyone know what this means? I'm guessing it isn't a good thing. Is
Windows possibly going on me or could it be my hard drive? I seem to be
having a rash of problems with my computer recently. At one point I thought
I might be infected w/malware but I followed a procedure from HiJack This
forum and there was no issue. Some programs don't install correctly; others
won't uninstall. Sometimes when I reboot, my display is slightly offcenter
with a black strip going down one side of the screen and I have to manually
adjust. I thought it might be my monitor going bad but now I don't think so.
I've backed up all of my stuff just to be safe. Would a reinstall of
Windows be the best bet? Thanks!
