Windows hangs up from Error

Recently I did repaired Windows on my PC using the Recovery Console
on my Windows disk. Everything restored better than expected, my data
appeared to all still be there, and only had to reinstall two
programs.
But now every time I go to shut down or restart Windows, I have an
error box appears that states that the program is not responding and "
END PROGRAM ……WMS IDLE " and unless you click on the tab that says
END NOW , then it will hang up and not shut down until you do click
it. I have tried to do a search in the Windows Search and also looked
in the Windows Task manager to see if it was in the "Current
Processes" tab and couldn't find it in either.
My question is how do I find who or what this file was associated
with and then how do I delete or repair it so that my machine no
longer hangs up during shutdown. Many THANKS in advance.
