windows hangs on blue logo screen

windows hangs on blue logo screen right before login, this happened after i
plugged in a new sata drive. I have windows installed on to 2 SATA raid
drives in 0 config and even when i unplug the new 3rd drive system will not
boot tried all the options in safe mode but nothing seems to work.

Just a suggestion, unplug the new drive, then edit the boot.ini to
include /LASTKNOWNGOOD

"Causes the system to boot as if the LastKnownGood boot option was
selected." http://www.sysinternals.com/Information/bootini.html

If it works, then start over.
