I have a computer that was given to me withwindows XP on it. The problem I
have with it is as follows no logon screen shows up and in the startup the
wgal.ogon file +about 12 others that seem to be associated with WGA. How do
I get the log on screen back and get the WGA out of the Startup.

It does exactly the same thing? Or are you suggesting I remove the WGA files while in safe mode ??

You might want to consider wiping the drive and doing a clean install as
you never know what a previous owner may have on the hard drive.

I didn't want to take that step but more than likely will have to.
