I've tried to download all the relevant updates for Windows on my PC but keep
faling in downloading the

Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130)

Does anyone know why?
Do I indeed need this?
How can I successfully downlaod it?

ya u will need this file in order to keep windows up to date. it validates
that you have a legalized copy of windows. if you do not have this
installed, then you will not be able to install some future updates you may
need.


Try SHUTTING DOWN the computer, then restart it. Do not click on "Restart"
or "Standby" as it will not work

You may have updates to install after you shut down.
