Hi. I turned on Windows Firewall and was wondering if
there was a setting to show the security icon on the
taskbar when it is turned on?

No, the Security Center will only warn you if its turned off.

No , because it is running as a service of Windows . It is working in the
background and works automatically , asks rarely .
