How do I delete the windows firewall from my system ? It's corrupted and I
can't get into it plus it's screwing up some of my access to web sites that I
need.

It sounds like your system is compromised. If the firewall is "corrupt"
then you are very likely to have other problems that you don't know
about.

Have you run a Virus scan in safe mode?
 
Hi, I have run virus scans in normal mode and also Spybot S&D and Ad-aware
plus the beta version of MS anti spyware. The system appears to be clean.
What is the advantage of running a virus scan in safe mode when I can run it
in normal mode ??
