Windows Firewall

I am having a problem connecting to a website that uses port 8080. I had
Norton Internet Security and Windows Firewall on, I turned them both off and
it still didn't work. Now I have uninstalled Norton and turned windows
firewall off and it still nothing, I have also left windows firewall on and
put an exception for TCP and UDP port 8080, but still nothing. Has anyone
else had problems with this at all? Thanks for the help.

I havn't seen this problem before, but I don't think the windows firewall
blocks outbound traffic, just inbound. It sounds like it might be a seperate
problem from your computers firewall setup. You might make sure there are no
other obstacles such as a hardware firewall, restrictions from accessing the
site using a NAT (non-routable) address, etc.
