do this a screen comes that directs me to click on
recommendations in the box as directed. When might be at
risk. No firewall I click on enable it shows the
firewall is turned on. The next time I turn the computer
I get the same message. Is there something I can do to
keep the firewall turned on?

Seems like you already have a virus or something turning it off- Do you have
any anti-virus scanners. To check your system I recommend Stinger FreeCheck.
To get that go to http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/. See if you have a virus!
