windows file protection

i have run sfc /scanow and the event log suggests that i need certain dll
files copying from the cd for windows to run properly.

unfortunately i have a windows xp cd but my sp1 cd is one i created myself
by interleaving the two versions of xp (home and sp1). it appears that the
cd has a bad block and the files cannot be copied.

is there anyway i can download the missing files?

I'm not sure of the name of the web site but missing dll files can be found
on a site using google or another search engine. I'v located missing dll
files for myself there.

Sorry I don't have the name of the site anymore.. It should be asy to find.
