Windows explorer

One on the quirks in XP I don't like is when you open
Windows explorer and My documents is expanded. I would
like to see My Computer expanded. Can I change the
setting somewhere to reflect this?

Also I have tried to set window sizes in the folders
dialogue to no avail. They also open not maximized. How
does one change that?
