Windows Explorer

Recently whenever I boot into windows I get a message saying that windows
explorer stopped working and asks if I would like to go onto the Internet to
see if there’s a solution to this problem or to restart windows explorer.
I’ve tried both and nothing seems to come about. If anyone has had this
problem and has solved it I would sure appreciate a responses.

So in the Problem Reports and Solutions Center, what data does it have about
the crash there? The crash bucket number may be of value:

Also, check the Event Viewer to see if there any messages there when the
problem occurs.

Also keep sending in the reports. They are like a vote on what to fix. Also
one day you'll get a message back saying a patch has now been released (if
it was a very common crash affecting large numbers of people you might get a
Under Invertigation before the patch to give you hope).

Does Explorer restart. If not press Ctrl + Shift + Escape, File menu - Run
(New Task) ... - type Explorer

You can't send in suggestion reports for feature changes in the RTM release,
I notice I can't find a link to Microsoft's link program. But you might be
referring to Problem Reports and Solutions.

When it crashes it wants to send reports to MS (same ones as you refer to)
straight away and if it can tell cause, it sends back how to find the fix.
The feature is faulty as it won't tell you anything if there is no fix. The
dialog just disappears. Which is wierd. Yet again MS designs something to
not work. As design decision.
