The Last two weeks my Windows Explorer has just gone haywire.

It stars using system resources until eventually my whole system freezes up.
the moment i go to taskmanager and end the process everything returns to
normal.
I then restart the explorer and i have maybe two minutes to get anything
done before there is again no resources left.

I have tried stopping the search indexing, turned off thumbnails etc but
nothing this problem is driving me nuts.

Any one out there who can help me

I am running a 2.4 celeron with 768Mb Ram

I had the same problem for a while.

I worked around it by lowering the priority of explorer.exe to below normal
from the right-click menu in task manager. Eventually the problem stopped.
