Even though I just installed Explorer 7, just prior to that the following
started happening; If i open a couple or more file folders (and this is when
it seems occur), when I close those folders my taskbar on the bottom of the
screen freezes. Also I might have some other items open such as AIM or the
explorer itself.
Therefore the only way I can shutdown to fix this is by using the
shutdown/restart mechanism in the Task Manager.

Again this started happening before and after going from IE 6 to IE 7.

Any clues or a fix or setting?

Thanks

I don't have an answer to your problem, but maybe you have one for me. I
just installed Explorer 7 also and I have lost some important ActiveX add
ons. Now my download wizards wont work and the only information I can find

All I can say is that for the moment I reverted back to IE 6, I'm convinced
IE 7 is still buggy, so typical of Microsoft to release a product once again
that is not ready due to so many system inconsistencies worldwide. As for my
issues I messed around with the settings in the task bar and rebooted hoping
the setting would be saved and the issue of freezing would stop, we'll see??

As far as your issue, try uninstalling IE 7, revert back to IE 6 for now,
truth be told, I'm not all that impressed with IE 7.
