My pc has 3 hard disks and a cd rom. Explorer will display
only drive C: and D: It will not display E:, F: or G:
Other programs can access files and folders on E:, F: or
G: and I can view their contents using 'Disk Management'.
Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? thanks

Check the following registry binary value:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
NoDrives

If it is not 0, some of your drives will be hidden in Explorer.
(This may be changed by something like TweakUI, under the "My Computer" tab)
