How can I customize all my files and folders to be viewed
in Detail view without assigning this view to each
folder? Meaning, I just want to do it one time for all my
folders. In XP, it is defaulted to Tile view. How do you
change the default to Detail view?

Open one Windows Explorer window. Select a folder. Set the view to Details.
Also select View> status bar if you use that too. Then go to the menu bar
at the top of the window and select: Folder Options. In the screen that
appears, click on the View button. Click the Apply to All Folders button.
Click OK to dismiss the screen.
