Hi all,
I got this problem in vista home premiun since I installed service pack 2.
It happens when I click the right button of the mouse, I was told that it
could be because I installed some application but I didn't find the culprit.
Anyway, I want to execute command prompt as administrator and since I can
not do it from the all start menu with a right click button, is there
another way from a command line??. Actually I need to make some changes to
HOSTS file and in order to do that I need to edit it as administrator.

TIA

Do you have this same issue in safe mode?

In safe mode it doesn't show the message but it put all the screen black and
then it does nothing.

It sounds like something is broken in the shell. Have you installed
anything recently? If so, try uninstalling it to see if that helps.
You might also try a system restore from before the problem started
occurring.

I can do what you said, but I was trying to see if there is something I can
do without having to reinstall everything and even if I find a program that
is causing this problem, does it mean I can not install that program??
The worst thing is that windows 7 has the same sh*tttt, I bought a laptop
and before I installed anything I got the message in some processes.

Anyway, even if the shell is broken still somethings work and I just want to
know if there is a way to run command promp as administrator without using
to use the right click of the mouse.

Thank you!

Hello again Fanor.

I was referring to a system restore point, NOT a full reload of the OS.
If you go to start > all programs > accessories > system tools, you
will find system restore. This will not effect your data/personal files
but may fix your problem, if you can find a system restore point from
before the problem with right-clicking the mouse started happening. In
any case, you should make a backup of data just to be prepared in case
something unexpected does happen.

Try this:
Start > All Programs > Accessories.
Highlight 'Command Prompt' with the cursor.
Shift + F10 > Properties > Advanced.
Select 'Run as administrator'.

I tried it out and still having the same problem, it seems that sooner than
later I have to re-install since I don't have a system restore before the
problem started. Man I just miss windows XP!
