Can anyone tell me how to set the windows explorer to continuously open up at
a specific expanded level?

Presently, it always opens up collapsed showing only the icons for my
desktop, my documents & my computer and i'm looking to set it so that it open
up always showing the directory details of my C drive

tia for any help

All you have to do is this...
1. click on say, my documents. Make sure you click on the middle square in the upper right corner, between the X and _ . Maximize it by clicking on it, it should look like two squares. Then click the X. The next time it opens it should be how you left it last.

2. You can leave the min\max square looking button minimized also and adjust the window by dragging the corner or edge to a specific height or length. You click the X button to close the window and the next time you open it it should be how you adjusted it last.

hope this helps

Create a new shortcut on your desktop. Type the directory name you want to
look at in the target box. Save it.
